been sort of MIA for the past few days from this journal, but here's what's up!

Right now I'm backing up all of my current and older files of RoD, so I've sorted and burned them all onto a CD. A few months from now, before school starts again, I'll be making another one with more updated and current information. I have all RoD files in various places, but it helps to know there's a backup of the info in a safe place.

I will be tackling a few projects this summer, including:

Been working on this for awhile, on and off ish... I've had a lot of fun and learning a lot. It still needs work, especially around the face and lips, but I'm cruisin' with it. It'll look awesome when I'm done. =)

Sketch of Hyono while being possessed by Azareal. This is the first thing I've sketched and scanned in awhile. XD;;

I don't think I got his exact eye shape quite right, so I'll experiment around with eye shapes a bit more. I'm still uncertain with which plant I want to use to base Az/Hyono off of. Again, still experimenting.

Apologies that there haven't been many actual sketches... I've been so busy with everything else, mostly schoolwork. Hopefully I'll start up sketching hardcore for sure later when school finally lets up.

EDIT 3: Did some thinking and here's a few new ideas for ear/hair designs:

-ferns
-leaf buds
-flower buds

The ears are buds/plants on their own. When they are born, they are but tiny buds. At the prime of the Forest Person's life, they will bloom, and when they die, they will wilt and die with them. (You know the exact time of their death when the last leaf/petal falls.)

Currently working on that one. I want to (re)design the Falkens around that similar idea. Also considering doing multiple versions of Falkens with multiple birds, then merging a few of them together. I think it'll be interesting.

I've been thinking about making my own personal set of tarot cards, however I've decided that I don't want them to be like any other set; it will be an RoD set (major cards would be based off of mythological deites such as the phoenix-dragon, lake lizard, and misty wolf, and perhaps even lesser gods such as Kaoti'kos and maybe even my newest character Sé'yana (name pending)).

I've noticed that some sets come with a sort of "suit/category" (wands, swords, cups, etc.), and so have decided I might have three categories of cards (three is a special number for me) based on the three main gods (phoenix-dragon, lake lizard, misty wolf).

Not sure how I will execute everything yet (have yet to do the proper research), but I will definately look into it.

Finished the first piece for my 100 themes challenge, so I decided to sort of celebrate and redecorate the LJ using it as the background and recolored the journal to fit.

I'm diggin' the look, and hopefully we'll see more digital pieces from me. =)
